Itinerary

  • Morning: City Palace & Jagdish Temple

The tour begins with a hotel pickup, followed by a short drive to City Palace, Udaipur’s most impressive architectural landmark. The palace complex features stunning courtyards, decorated halls and panoramic views of Lake Pichola. You spend generous time exploring its museums, balconies and detailed artwork that reflect centuries of royal heritage. The wide range of exhibits helps you understand Udaipur’s history in a visually engaging way.

Afterward, you walk or drive a short distance to Jagdish Temple, an intricately carved Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Its stone pillars, artistic sculptures and peaceful atmosphere offer a meaningful transition from the palace visit. The area around the temple includes narrow lanes with traditional shops and small cafés, giving you a gentle introduction to the city’s local rhythm.

  • Late Morning: Saheliyon Ki Bari & Local Museum

Next, the tour moves toward Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautifully maintained garden created for the royal women of Udaipur. The fountains, marble pavilions and shaded pathways make it a refreshing stop, especially after the busy palace areas. The atmosphere is calm, green and ideal for light strolls and photographs.

Following the garden, you may visit a local museum such as the Vintage Car Museum or the City Palace Crystal Gallery depending on your interests. These museums present unique collectibles and showcase an elegant chapter of Udaipur’s royal lifestyle. The visit remains flexible to ensure comfort and personal preference.

  • Afternoon: Lake Pichola Viewpoint & Traditional Market Walk

In the afternoon, the driver takes you to a Lake Pichola viewpoint or the peaceful surroundings near the ghats. The lake reflects the architectural skyline, offering serene views of palaces and distant hills. This section of the tour allows time for quiet moments, photography or simply enjoying the calm environment.

From here, you move toward a traditional market area to explore textiles, miniature paintings and handcrafted goods. Udaipur’s markets carry a distinct artistic feel, with many shops showcasing detailed artwork such as Pichwai paintings or decorative pieces. Browsing through these streets adds a cultural touch to the day.

  • Evening: Optional Boat Ride & Return to Hotel

If you wish, you may enjoy an optional boat ride on Lake Pichola, offering spectacular views of the surrounding palaces at sunset. The gentle movement of the boat and the warm evening light create a memorable closing moment for your Udaipur experience.

After sightseeing, the driver drops you at your hotel, completing a full and satisfying day in Udaipur.
