Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Cochin International Airport, a representative from India World Wide Travel will be present to receive you and assist with your hotel transfer. Once you’ve checked in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax and recover from your journey. You can unwind at the hotel or take a brief stroll in the nearby neighborhood to get a feel for the vibrant culture of Kochi, formerly known as Cochin.

After a hearty breakfast, your guided sightseeing tour of Kochi begins. You’ll first head to Fort Kochi Beach, a serene location reflecting the city's colonial charm. Not far from here, witness the fascinating Chinese Fishing Nets, an iconic symbol of Cochin’s heritage. Continue on to the historic Santa Cruz Basilica, a beautiful example of Portuguese architecture. Then visit Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, originally constructed by the Portuguese and later renovated by the Dutch in the 17th century. Just nearby lies the Jewish Synagogue, built in 1568, which stuns visitors with its Chinese tiles, Belgian chandeliers, and ancient scrolls. Walk through Jew Town, a quaint neighborhood known for its antique shops and spice markets. You will also explore the Kerala Folklore Museum, which houses an extensive collection of traditional art, costumes, and relics, and the Hill Palace Museum, the largest archaeological museum in Kerala. The evening is free for local shopping, particularly on M.G. Road, which is popular for spices, clothing, sculptures, and jewelry. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Munnar, a scenic hill station nestled in the Western Ghats. On the way, you’ll stop at Cheeyappara Waterfalls, considered one of Kerala’s most picturesque cascades, where the water flows down in seven steps. As you ascend into the misty hills, take in the emerald landscapes of tea gardens and spice plantations. Once in Munnar, check into your hotel and freshen up. Later in the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum to understand the region’s rich tea-growing history and stroll through the lush Tea Gardens, enjoying the fresh mountain air. Return to the hotel for the night

Following breakfast, your day will be dedicated to exploring the natural beauty and attractions of Munnar. Begin with a visit to the Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy views of the still waters framed by forest and tea estates. At Echo Point, you’ll witness the fun of natural echo phenomena, while Kundala Lake offers a peaceful boating experience. The beautiful Attukad Waterfalls and flower-filled Blossom Park are ideal spots to relax and capture photos. A visit to Pothamedu View Point rewards you with panoramic views of coffee and cardamom plantations. Next, head to Lakkam Waterfalls, nestled in a dense forest, before continuing on to the renowned Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat found only in this region. You’ll also stop at Anamudi View Point, offering glimpses of the highest peak in South India, and conclude with a visit to Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its diverse flora and fauna. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy your overnight stay in Munnar.

After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, a lush area known for its rolling hills, spice plantations, and wildlife. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Thekkady is famous for Periyar National Park, one of India’s most significant wildlife sanctuaries. The rest of your day is at leisure; you may take a walk through spice plantations or explore local markets known for cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and other spices. Return to your hotel for the night.

Begin your morning with a visit to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where you may spot wild elephants, deer, wild boar, and a variety of birds. A boat cruise on Periyar Lake provides a tranquil way to experience the natural beauty of the sanctuary. You’ll also stop by the Mullaperiyar Dam, surrounded by mist-covered hills. In the afternoon, enjoy cultural performances such as Kathakali dance, Kalaripayattu martial arts, and traditional tribal dances. Optional activities include an elephant ride or witnessing an elephant bathing ritual. End your day with a musical fountain performance before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey, known as the "Venice of the East" due to its network of backwaters, canals, and lagoons. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax or explore the tranquil surroundings. Alleppey is famed for its houseboats, coir industry, and traditional Kerala architecture. Spend the night in the calm of Alleppey.

After breakfast, check into a traditional Kerala houseboat for an unforgettable backwater cruise. As you drift along the palm-fringed canals, you’ll witness daily village life, verdant paddy fields, and rich birdlife. The houseboat is fully equipped with comfortable rooms, a kitchen, and a private crew including a chef. Relax with delicious meals on board and spend the night gently rocked to sleep by the backwaters.

After breakfast on the houseboat, check out and proceed to Cochin International Airport for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Kerala’s culture, nature, and warm hospitality.
