Your day begins at 8:00 AM with pick-up by India World Wide Travel from your chosen location in Jaipur. The sightseeing tour includes the city’s best-known attractions, guided by a knowledgeable expert who will narrate Jaipur’s fascinating history and regal culture. The highlights include:
Start your journey at the grand Amber Fort, perched on a hill just 11 km from Jaipur. Built by Raja Man Singh I in the 16th century, this UNESCO World Heritage Site represents Rajput military grandeur and ornate palace life. Overlooking the serene Maota Lake, the fort features courtyards, temples, and the exquisite Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), where glass mosaics reflect light to create a starlit effect. An optional elephant ride to the fort adds to the royal experience.
The City Palace is a majestic complex that merges Rajput, Mughal, and European architectural influences. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the palace grounds include elegant courtyards, temples, gardens, and museums. The Mubarak Mahal showcases royal garments and antique textiles, while the Chandra Mahal—still a royal residence—offers insight into the luxurious lifestyle of Jaipur’s rulers.
Known as the “Palace of Winds,” Hawa Mahal is Jaipur’s signature monument. Constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, its façade features 953 intricately latticed windows that once allowed royal women to observe street life unseen. This five-story structure exemplifies the fine craftsmanship and cultural essence of the Pink City.
The Albert Hall Museum is Jaipur’s oldest museum and a fine example of Indo-Saracenic design. Inside, visitors will find a rich collection of artifacts, including marble sculptures, metal works, textiles, paintings, and even an Egyptian mummy. The museum offers a captivating overview of India’s artistic and cultural legacy, making it a key stop for history lovers.
