Welcome to India, a land of timeless charm, spiritual depth, and vibrant culture. Upon your arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, you will be warmly greeted by our representative, who will assist you with your comfortable transfer to the hotel.
After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax and recover from your international journey. If time permits, you may take a stroll around your hotel’s neighborhood or enjoy a local meal to begin your Indian experience.
Overnight in Delhi
Start your day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a guided full-day tour of the capital city. Begin in Old Delhi, where history whispers from every corner. Visit the Red Fort (outside view), an iconic symbol of Mughal power, and then explore the magnificent Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques.
Next, take a rickshaw ride through the narrow, bustling streets of Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s oldest market. Explore the Khari Baoli spice market, a sensory explosion of exotic aromas and vivid colors.
In the afternoon, switch gears to New Delhi, the imperial city planned by the British. Visit Raj Ghat, a peaceful memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Explore the majestic Humayun’s Tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal, and then marvel at the Lotus Temple, known for its unique lotus-shaped architecture and tranquil ambiance.
Stop at the Qutub Minar, India’s tallest brick minaret, and then drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House), and the Parliament Buildings—a showcase of British-era colonial architecture.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities and a revered spiritual center.
On arrival in Varanasi, you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore the city at your own pace. You may consider visiting local temples or sampling traditional Banarasi street food.

Wake before dawn for a magical boat ride along the sacred Ganges River. Witness the age-old rituals performed on the ghats (river steps), including the Manikarnika Ghat, where cremations take place as part of the Hindu journey toward liberation (moksha). As the sun rises, the banks come alive with chanting, prayer, and vibrant color—an unforgettable experience.
Return to your hotel for breakfast, then proceed on an excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Visit the Dhamek Stupa, Ashokan Pillar, the Buddha Statue, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum to gain insights into the roots of Buddhism.
After some time to rest at your hotel, head to the ghats once again in the evening to experience the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony. Watch as priests perform synchronized rituals with fire, bells, and chants—a spiritual experience unlike any other.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and begin the journey to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal and a former capital of the Mughal Empire.
Check in to your hotel in Agra and spend the evening at leisure. You may choose to visit a local café, take a short walk, or simply rest in preparation for tomorrow’s early morning visit to the Taj.

Rise early to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the soft light enhances the serene beauty of this iconic symbol of eternal love. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the monument’s white marble shimmers in the early light, a moment you’ll treasure forever.
Return to the hotel for breakfast, then continue to Itmad-ud-Daulah, often referred to as the "Baby Taj" for its delicate inlay work and design, a precursor to the Taj Mahal. Also visit Jama Masjid, a stunning mosque completed in the 17th century.
In the afternoon, enjoy some leisure time browsing Agra’s local bazaars, known for marble souvenirs, leather goods, and sweets like “Petha.” Dinner will be served at your hotel in the evening.

Continue your journey to the village of Abhaneri, home to the breathtaking Chand Baori stepwell, an ancient marvel with symmetrical staircases that descend 13 stories into the earth.
Arrive in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s colorful capital, by evening. Check in to your hotel and relax.

Today is a deep dive into the royal heritage of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City.
Begin with a visit to the Amber Fort, a majestic hilltop fortress with ornate courtyards and mirror-inlaid halls. You may choose to ascend the fort on an elephant ride or by jeep for an authentic Rajasthani experience.
Stop at Jal Mahal, the Water Palace, for photographs. Then visit the City Palace, a grand complex of courtyards, museums, and royal residences. Explore the nearby Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory with giant instruments that still work today.
Take a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a unique five-story façade built for royal women to observe street festivities unseen. Visit Albert Hall Museum to admire its Indo-Saracenic architecture and vast collection of artifacts.

You have up to 45 days before the tour begins to cancel, in which case your entire land deposit and any advance payments you paid will be refunded within 21 business days.
Note: Only the land portion of the journey is subject to cancellation and rebooking policies; domestic and international train and airline tickets are not.
Note: When purchasing tickets for domestic or international travel, you must pay in full at the time of booking. You must also abide by the cancellation, rebooking and booking regulations of the individual airline and rail operators.

Should government travel restrictions force the cancellation of your journey, your deposit and any progress payments will be fully credited towards a future tour with us at no additional cost.
We are not required to provide any reimbursement for services that you do not use if you cancel a trip after it has started for any reason. On your behalf, Royal India Tours will make every effort to retrieve as much of your money as we can or work out a credit for later usage.
Any costs resulting from a cancellation or adjustment made between thirty days before the tour start date and the tour end date will be your responsibility and must be paid by you within twenty-four hours of the modification.
We are not required to provide any reimbursement for services that are not used if the tour must be changed or cancelled for any reason other than illness or COVID-19. On your behalf, Royal India Tours will make every effort to retrieve as much of your money as we can or work out a credit for later usage. Any associated costs are your responsibility and must be paid for within a day.

There is a required single surcharge for travellers travelling alone.
Please provide valid passport details Either at the time of purchase or no later than 45 days before the travel date, customers must provide valid passport details. The reservation may be cancelled if this isn't done. Customers will be in charge of any associated costs and fees in this case.
Most visitors need a visa to enter India, except for citizens of Nepal and Bhutan. Tourist visas last for six months but cannot be extended. Nationals of some countries can get a visa on arrival, while others need to apply in advance online. Leaving on a tourist visa means no re-entry within two months, with some exceptions. Businessmen and students can get five-year visas. Certain areas require special permits, and some are off-limits to foreigners.

The purpose of international travel insurance is to go with you and help you make better-informed travel decisions. Travel insurance is mandatory for all travellers and should be taken out before travel and must be purchase from your home country with Sum Insured $50,000 USD to $200,000 USD. Your insurance must cover personal accidents, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with coverage. We also strongly recommend coverage for cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide your policy number and the insurer's emergency contact 15 days before the tour starts. Without these details, you will not be able to join the trip.
During the tour, you are in charge of all your possessions. The standard weight limit for checked baggage on Indian domestic airlines is 15 kg, while carry-on luggage is 7 kg.
Unfortunately, wheelchair users and anyone with limited mobility cannot now participate in our tours because our cars are not wheelchair accessible.
Note that this will require a general degree of fitness. Before making a purchase or booking a trip, please speak with your healthcare physician if you have any concerns.
Please be aware that your schedule may be changed, subject to availability, or an equivalent activity may be provided in its place if entry to a site is impacted by modifications to working hours or public holiday closures.
This covers any modifications to your reservation that you request, including but not restricted to those that call for reissuing the Purchase Confirmation or an airline ticket.
Changes: $100.00 per reservation plus any extra fees levied by the airline, cruise line, lodging or any travel agencies.
In the event that Royal India Tours receives notification of an inaccurate name, there will be a $100.00 booking fee in addition to any additional fees levied by the airline, cruise line, lodging provider or other travel suppliers.
