Overviews

This Rajasthan itinerary is shaped around a single principle: the stay matters as much as the destination. Designed for travellers who recognise hotel brands as part of the travel experience, this route connects Rajasthan’s most iconic regions through Oberoi and Taj properties that complement each location rather than overpower it.

Over twelve days, the journey moves from urban heritage to wilderness, desert and lakeside settings, allowing the landscape to evolve naturally. Each hotel has been selected for its sense of place, privacy and service culture, ensuring the tour feels cohesive rather than stitched together.

Highlights

  • Accommodation exclusively at Oberoi and Taj hotels
  • Carefully sequenced route to avoid travel fatigue
  • Wildlife, desert and heritage cities in one circuit
  • Private chauffeur-driven vehicle throughout
  • Designed for luxury-focused international travellers

Itinerary

Arrival in Delhi is followed by a smooth private transfer to a Taj or Oberoi hotel located away from heavy congestion. The day is intentionally light, giving space to recover from international or domestic travel.

The evening remains open, allowing guests to enjoy hotel facilities or a quiet meal within the property. Overnight stay in Delhi.

The drive to Jaipur introduces Rajasthan’s architectural shift from colonial avenues to fortified cities. Arrival by early afternoon allows time to settle into an Oberoi or Taj palace-style hotel that reflects Jaipur’s royal planning rather than modern excess.

Later, a short orientation drive through the old city introduces the geometric street layout and local life. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

The day is dedicated to Jaipur’s historic spine. A visit to Amber Fort provides insight into the region’s defensive strategies, followed by selected city landmarks that highlight ceremonial and administrative life.

Sightseeing is deliberately paced, ensuring time to return to the hotel during midday hours. Evening free for rest or an in-house dining experience. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Leaving Jaipur, the landscape gradually opens as the route moves toward Ranthambore. Arrival is timed for a relaxed check-in at a luxury jungle lodge under the Taj or Oberoi umbrella.

The remainder of the day is reserved for rest, allowing guests to absorb the forest surroundings. Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

The day revolves around the natural environment. A scheduled jungle safari introduces Ranthambore’s terrain, lakes and wildlife corridors, offering a contrast to Rajasthan’s urban heritage.

Between safari sessions, time is spent within the lodge, where architecture blends into the forest setting. Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

After breakfast, the journey continues toward Udaipur via surface route or connecting flight. Arrival in Udaipur marks a visual shift, with water bodies and hills replacing dry plains.

Check-in at a lakeside Oberoi or Taj property. The evening is unstructured, best spent overlooking the lake as the city’s quieter rhythm becomes evident. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Udaipur’s day focuses on its historic core. The palace complex and surrounding quarters present a layered understanding of royal life intertwined with water management.

The afternoon is reserved for leisure, allowing guests to enjoy the hotel’s lake-facing spaces. Evening at rest. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

The drive toward Jodhpur transitions into the Marwar region. Arrival in the afternoon allows a smooth check-in at a Taj or Oberoi hotel positioned for comfort.

A short evening drive introduces Jodhpur’s skyline, dominated by Mehrangarh Fort. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

The morning visit to Mehrangarh Fort offers a commanding view over the blue city below. Time is allocated to explore without haste, focusing on scale and craftsmanship.

Later, selected old city areas provide insight into daily life beneath the fort. Evening free. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

The route to Jaisalmer passes through open desert terrain, marking a clear geographical transition. Arrival is planned for late afternoon to avoid travel fatigue.

Check-in at a Taj or Oberoi desert-style luxury hotel. Evening at leisure, allowing the stillness of the region to settle in. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

The day explores the fortified town and surrounding desert environment. The living fort, merchant homes and narrow lanes reveal how architecture adapted to harsh conditions.

Later, time is reserved for the desert setting itself, where space and silence form the primary experience. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

The final day involves a transfer to Delhi by flight or a planned onward connection. Depending on schedules, a short rest stop may be arranged before departure.

The tour concludes with a sense of continuity rather than rush, maintaining the tone established throughout the journey.
