Then, travel through Kargil into the unique landscapes of Leh and Ladakh, where you’ll acclimate before visiting Nubra Valley and the spectacular Pangong Lake. The trip circles back through Leh and ends in Delhi.

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, a representative from Royal India Tours will receive you with a warm welcome. You will be escorted to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle.
After check-in, take time to rest from your journey or explore the hotel surroundings at your leisure. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to enjoy a short walk or try local cuisine nearby. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
After breakfast at the hotel, begin your full-day tour of Delhi, a city that combines ancient history with modern vibrancy. Start your exploration in Old Delhi, where you will visit the magnificent Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as the residence of the Mughal Emperors. Proceed to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, followed by a thrilling rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, a bustling market full of colors and life. Stop at the iconic Khari Baoli Spice Market, where the air is filled with the rich aroma of Indian spices.
Continue to Raj Ghat, the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, before heading to Humayun’s Tomb, the architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal. Next, explore the modern marvel Lotus Temple, known for its unique flower-shaped structure and peaceful ambiance. Later, drive past President's House (Rashtrapati Bhavan) and Parliament House, followed by a photo stop at India Gate, the national war memorial.
Return to the hotel in the evening for a relaxing overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Amritsar. Upon arrival, meet our local representative who will assist you to your hotel for check-in. After some rest, if time permits, enjoy a gentle evening walk near Hall Bazaar, one of the oldest marketplaces in Amritsar known for phulkari embroidery, jewelry, and Amritsari juttis. You may also savor some local delicacies like Amritsari kulcha at a nearby eatery. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Breakfast, Domestic Flight
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and begin your city tour with a visit to the stunning Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), the spiritual and cultural heart of the Sikh religion. Walk around the sacred Amrit Sarovar and witness the peaceful devotional singing. Participate in the Langar, the world’s largest free community kitchen, where thousands are served daily regardless of caste or creed.
Next, visit Jallianwala Bagh, the historical public garden which houses a memorial to the 1919 massacre victims. Walk through the narrow passage and see the bullet marks still preserved on the walls. Later in the day, proceed to the Wagah Border to witness the enthralling Beating Retreat Ceremony, a high-energy patriotic event that draws crowds from both India and Pakistan. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Dharamshala, a scenic hill town located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The drive takes you through picturesque views of fields, forests, and villages. On arrival, check in to the hotel.
The evening is free for a leisurely walk around Mall Road, where Tibetan vendors sell traditional handicrafts, carpets, jewelry, and artifacts. You can also enjoy Tibetan food like momos and thukpa at local cafes. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Begin the day with breakfast and visit the peaceful Dalai Lama Temple Complex (Tsuglagkhang), a spiritual center for Buddhists and the official residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Continue to the ancient Bhagsunag Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and enjoy a short trek to the scenic Bhagsu Waterfall located nearby.
Next, visit the impressive Norbulingka Institute, dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan culture. Explore its Losel Doll Museum, traditional art workshops, and the beautiful Deden Tsuglagkhang Temple Hall filled with exquisite murals and statues. This great cultural experience offers insight into Tibetan arts, crafts, and lifestyle. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, enjoy a photo opportunity at the spectacular HPCA Cricket Stadium, one of the highest-altitude stadiums in the world. Then take the Skyway Ropeway up to McLeod Ganj, known as ‘Little Lhasa’ due to its Tibetan population. Explore the peaceful surroundings, visit quaint bookstores, or relax at a hillside café with panoramic views of the Dhauladhar Mountains.
You may also visit the Tibetan Museum, offering historical context to the Tibetan exile community. Later, shop at the bustling Tibetan Market, which offers prayer flags, thangkas, incense, and handicrafts. Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. On arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel or houseboat for check-in. Spend the evening at leisure – take a peaceful walk along Dal Lake, watch the reflections of the mountains on the water, or visit the charming Lal Chowk Market for authentic Kashmiri handicrafts and dry fruits. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, go on a scenic exploration of Srinagar, renowned for its Mughal-inspired gardens and serene lakes. Begin with a visit to the Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop a hill offering panoramic views of the city and Dal Lake. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this ancient temple is a significant pilgrimage site.
Next, dip yourself in the beauty of the Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Cheshma Shahi. These gardens, with their cascading fountains, terraced lawns, and vibrant floral displays, showcase the grandeur of Mughal landscaping.
In the afternoon, enjoy a tranquil Shikara Ride on Dal Lake, gliding past floating gardens and traditional houseboats. Conclude your day with a visit to the Hazratbal Shrine, an important Muslim site housing a relic believed to be the hair strand of the Prophet Muhammad.

After breakfast, go on a scenic drive to Gulmarg, a premier hill station and skiing destination. Upon arrival, visit the Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest golf courses in the world, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks.
Experience the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars globally, taking you to Kongdoori and Apharwat Peak. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and, during winter, the opportunity to engage in snow activities.

Early morning, after breakfast, drive to Leh, the capital of Ladakh, covering approximately 210 km. The journey offers breathtaking views of the rugged terrain. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and rest.

After breakfast, explore the highlights of Leh. Visit the Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa offering panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. Proceed to the Hall of Fame War Museum, showcasing memorabilia from the Indo-Pak wars.
Next, visit the Ladakh Palace, a 16th-century royal palace offering insights into Ladakhi culture and history. Conclude your day with a visit to Spituk Gompa, a Buddhist monastery perched on a hilltop.

After breakfast, drive to Khardungla Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at an altitude of 5,359 meters. Enjoy the breathtaking views and take photographs at this iconic location.
Continue your journey to Nubra Valley, known for its unique landscapes and the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in the valley. Visit the Future Buddha statue, a 106-foot-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha.

After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, a high-altitude lake known for its changing colors and stunning surroundings. Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

After breakfast, drive back to Leh, en route visiting Shey Palace, the former summer capital of Ladakh, and Hemis Monastery, one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh.

You have up to 45 days before the tour begins to cancel, in which case your entire land deposit and any advance payments you paid will be refunded within 21 business days.
Note: Only the land portion of the journey is subject to cancellation and rebooking policies; domestic and international train and airline tickets are not.
Note: When purchasing tickets for domestic or international travel, you must pay in full at the time of booking. You must also abide by the cancellation, rebooking and booking regulations of the individual airline and rail operators.

Should government travel restrictions force the cancellation of your journey, your deposit and any progress payments will be fully credited towards a future tour with us at no additional cost.
We are not required to provide any reimbursement for services that you do not use if you cancel a trip after it has started for any reason. On your behalf, Royal India Tours will make every effort to retrieve as much of your money as we can or work out a credit for later usage.
Any costs resulting from a cancellation or adjustment made between thirty days before the tour start date and the tour end date will be your responsibility and must be paid by you within twenty-four hours of the modification.
We are not required to provide any reimbursement for services that are not used if the tour must be changed or cancelled for any reason other than illness or COVID-19. On your behalf, Royal India Tours will make every effort to retrieve as much of your money as we can or work out a credit for later usage. Any associated costs are your responsibility and must be paid for within a day.

There is a required single surcharge for travellers travelling alone.
Please provide valid passport details Either at the time of purchase or no later than 45 days before the travel date, customers must provide valid passport details. The reservation may be cancelled if this isn't done. Customers will be in charge of any associated costs and fees in this case.
Most visitors need a visa to enter India, except for citizens of Nepal and Bhutan. Tourist visas last for six months but cannot be extended. Nationals of some countries can get a visa on arrival, while others need to apply in advance online. Leaving on a tourist visa means no re-entry within two months, with some exceptions. Businessmen and students can get five-year visas. Certain areas require special permits, and some are off-limits to foreigners.

The purpose of international travel insurance is to go with you and help you make better-informed travel decisions. Travel insurance is mandatory for all travellers and should be taken out before travel and must be purchase from your home country with Sum Insured $50,000 USD to $200,000 USD. Your insurance must cover personal accidents, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with coverage. We also strongly recommend coverage for cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide your policy number and the insurer's emergency contact 15 days before the tour starts. Without these details, you will not be able to join the trip.
During the tour, you are in charge of all your possessions. The standard weight limit for checked baggage on Indian domestic airlines is 15 kg, while carry-on luggage is 7 kg.
Unfortunately, wheelchair users and anyone with limited mobility cannot now participate in our tours because our cars are not wheelchair accessible.

Please be aware that your schedule may be changed, subject to availability, or an equivalent activity may be provided in its place if entry to a site is impacted by modifications to working hours or public holiday closures.
This covers any modifications to your reservation that you request, including but not restricted to those that call for reissuing the Purchase Confirmation or an airline ticket.
Changes: $100.00 per reservation plus any extra fees levied by the airline, cruise line, lodging or any travel agencies.
In the event that Royal India Tours receives notification of an inaccurate name, there will be a $100.00 booking fee in addition to any additional fees levied by the airline, cruise line, lodging provider or other travel suppliers.
