Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Bangalore International Airport, a warm welcome awaits you from a representative of India World Wide Travel. You’ll be assisted with your transfer to the hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel, recovering from your journey.

Known as the IT capital of India, Bangalore is a modern metropolis that beautifully blends its colonial charm with a booming tech industry. It’s famous for its lush gardens, pleasant year-round weather, and an evolving culinary and brewery scene. You may choose to take a gentle evening walk near your hotel or enjoy a peaceful dinner at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Bangalore. Your tour includes visiting Lalbagh Botanical Garden, home to over 1,000 species of plants and a striking glasshouse inspired by London’s Crystal Palace. Then, visit the majestic Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the state legislature, and marvel at its grand Neo-Dravidian architecture.

Continue to ISKCON Temple, a serene and modern spiritual complex, followed by a visit to the Government Museum and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, rich with Indo-Islamic architecture.

Spend time strolling through Cubbon Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city. Later, you can shop at the lively Commercial Street or explore local markets. Optionally, end your evening at a rooftop café or local microbrewery.

Breakfast

After breakfast, drive to Mysore, a city known for its cultural heritage and royal legacy. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up.

Mysore, once the seat of the Wodeyar dynasty, is famous for its majestic palaces and intricate architecture. You may explore nearby local attractions on your own or take a short walk to a local handicraft emporium. Try tasting Mysore’s special cuisine in the evening.

Breakfast

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a sightseeing tour of Mysore. Begin with the majestic Mysore Palace, an Indo-Saracenic masterpiece decorated with intricate stained glass, mirrors, and paintings. Then visit Chamundi Hills, home to the Chamundeshwari Temple and offering panoramic views of the city.

Continue to Shivanasamudra Falls, a scenic cascade that provides a great spot for photos. Later, head to the Brindavan Gardens, beautifully lit up in the evening with musical fountain shows. Also visit Karanji Lake, a bird lover’s paradise, and the Mysore Zoo, one of the oldest and best-kept zoos in India.

Breakfast

Post breakfast, go on a scenic drive to Wayanad, nestled amidst the Western Ghats. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

Wayanad is known as Kerala's green haven, with lush tropical forests, spice plantations, and misty valleys. Spend the rest of the day unwinding at the resort or taking a leisurely nature walk through the nearby countryside.

Breakfast

After breakfast, begin your day with an adventurous trek to Chembra Peak, one of the highest peaks in Wayanad, offering stunning views. Later, visit the tranquil Pookot Lake, a freshwater lake surrounded by forests.

Continue to Kanthanpara Waterfalls, a less-crowded spot perfect for nature lovers, and explore the mystical Chain Tree, steeped in legend. Experience nature at its best with a trip to Kuruvadweep Island, located in the middle of the Kabini River. End your day at the Valley View Point for breathtaking sunset views.

After breakfast, check out and drive toward the charming hill station of Ooty, also known as the Queen of the Nilgiris. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax.

You may opt to take a short evening walk through Ooty’s colonial lanes or enjoy a cup of fresh Nilgiri tea. The crisp mountain air and serene surroundings offer the perfect backdrop to unwind.

Breakfast

Start your day by visiting the vibrant Rose Garden, which houses over 2,000 varieties of roses. Then head to the tranquil Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy paddle boating amidst eucalyptus groves.

Explore the Botanical Garden, showcasing rare trees and exotic plants. Later in the day, visit Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris, for panoramic views. In the evening, explore Ooty Town’s market, known for homemade chocolates, woollens, and eucalyptus oil.

Breakfast

After breakfast, drive to Munnar, Kerala’s famed hill station. En route, stop at the cascading Cheeyappara Waterfalls, where you can stretch and click photos.

Upon arrival in Munnar, check into your hotel and refresh yourself. In the late afternoon, visit the Tea Museum, where you learn about tea-making processes, followed by a gentle stroll through the endless Tea Gardens that define Munnar's landscape.

After breakfast, leave on a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam, a picturesque reservoir, and Echo Point, where your voice echoes across the hills. Take a boat ride at Kundala Lake and enjoy the serene Attukad Waterfalls.

Stroll through Blossom Park and soak in panoramic views at Pothamedu View Point and Lakkam Waterfalls. Later, explore Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. If time permits, continue to Anamudi View Point and the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary for a glimpse of Kerala’s natural wonders.

Check out after breakfast and drive through winding hills and plantations to Thekkady, a wildlife lover's paradise. Check into your hotel and relax amidst the spice-scented atmosphere.

Enjoy a spice plantation walk or opt for an Ayurvedic massage. In the evening, you may explore local markets selling spices, handmade soaps, and wooden handicrafts.

After breakfast, visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Take a boat ride on Periyar Lake and spot elephants, wild boar, and possibly tigers. Visit the Mullaperiyar Dam, then watch cultural shows like Kathakali, Kalaripayattu (martial arts), and tribal dances.

In the evening, drive to Alleppey and check into your cozy homestay for an authentic local experience. Enjoy home-cooked Kerala cuisine and the warm hospitality of your hosts.

After breakfast, step aboard your private houseboat for a unique cruise through the serene backwaters of Alleppey. Enjoy traditional Kerala meals prepared fresh onboard as you glide past palm-fringed canals, paddy fields, and rustic villages.

The houseboat comes equipped with modern comforts including a bedroom, bathroom, and a private chef. Sit back, relax, and watch rural Kerala life unfold around you. Dinner and overnight stay on the houseboat.

After breakfast, leave from the houseboat and transfer to Kochi, the historical port city. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take time to rest or explore nearby cafés and art galleries.

Optional: Enjoy a sunset view at Marine Drive or take a walk along the waterfront promenade.

Start your day with breakfast and head for a full-day tour of Fort Kochi, a melting pot of colonial influence. Visit the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, the beautiful Santa Cruz Basilica, and the Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace).

Explore the Jewish Synagogue, dating back to 1568, adorned with exquisite Chinese tiles and Belgian chandeliers. Wander through Jew Town, known for its spice shops and antique stores.

Later visit the Kerala Folklore Museum and Hill Palace Museum, the largest archaeological museum in Kerala. Spend your evening shopping on M.G. Road, popular for spices, textiles, and jewelry.

Enjoy your final breakfast in Kerala. After checking out, you will be transferred to Kochi International Airport in time for your onward flight. As you board, carry with you countless memories of a journey through the cultural, natural, and spiritual heart of South India.

After choosing your preferred itinerary, all you have to do to reserve your spot is send a deposit of 20% plus the cost of each booking for the train and airfare. 

Your final payment won't be due until 45 days before the start of your tour. The entire cost must be paid at the time of booking if your reservation is made less than 60 days before the tour begins.

Note: All airline booking and cancellation restrictions apply, and full payment must be made at the time of booking for both domestic and international tickets.

Note: We strongly advise getting travel insurance that includes coverage for disruptions caused by COVID-19. 
You have up to 45 days before the tour begins to cancel, in which case your entire land deposit and any advance payments you paid will be refunded within 21 business days.

Note: Only the land portion of the journey is subject to cancellation and rebooking policies; domestic and international train and airline tickets are not. 

Note: When purchasing tickets for domestic or international travel, you must pay in full at the time of booking. You must also abide by the cancellation, rebooking and booking regulations of the individual airline and rail operators.

Should government travel restrictions force the cancellation of your journey, your deposit and any progress payments will be fully credited towards a future tour with us at no additional cost.

We are not required to provide any reimbursement for services that you do not use if you cancel a trip after it has started for any reason. On your behalf, Royal India Tours will make every effort to retrieve as much of your money as we can or work out a credit for later usage.

Any costs resulting from a cancellation or adjustment made between thirty days before the tour start date and the tour end date will be your responsibility and must be paid by you within twenty-four hours of the modification. 

We are not required to provide any reimbursement for services that are not used if the tour must be changed or cancelled for any reason other than illness or COVID-19. On your behalf, Royal India Tours will make every effort to retrieve as much of your money as we can or work out a credit for later usage. Any associated costs are your responsibility and must be paid for within a day.

There is a required single surcharge for travellers travelling alone.

Please provide valid passport details Either at the time of purchase or no later than 45 days before the travel date, customers must provide valid passport details. The reservation may be cancelled if this isn't done. Customers will be in charge of any associated costs and fees in this case.

Most visitors need a visa to enter India, except for citizens of Nepal and Bhutan. Tourist visas last for six months but cannot be extended. Nationals of some countries can get a visa on arrival, while others need to apply in advance online. Leaving on a tourist visa means no re-entry within two months, with some exceptions. Businessmen and students can get five-year visas. Certain areas require special permits, and some are off-limits to foreigners.

The purpose of international travel insurance is to go with you and help you make better-informed travel decisions. Travel insurance is mandatory for all travellers and should be taken out before travel and must be purchase from your home country with Sum Insured $50,000 USD to $200,000 USD. Your insurance must cover personal accidents, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with coverage. We also strongly recommend coverage for cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide your policy number and the insurer's emergency contact 15 days before the tour starts. Without these details, you will not be able to join the trip.

During the tour, you are in charge of all your possessions. The standard weight limit for checked baggage on Indian domestic airlines is 15 kg, while carry-on luggage is 7 kg.

Unfortunately, wheelchair users and anyone with limited mobility cannot now participate in our tours because our cars are not wheelchair accessible. 
Note that this will require a general degree of fitness. Before making a purchase or booking a trip, please speak with your healthcare physician if you have any concerns.

Please be aware that your schedule may be changed, subject to availability, or an equivalent activity may be provided in its place if entry to a site is impacted by modifications to working hours or public holiday closures.

This covers any modifications to your reservation that you request, including but not restricted to those that call for reissuing the Purchase Confirmation or an airline ticket.
Changes: $100.00 per reservation plus any extra fees levied by the airline, cruise line, lodging or any travel agencies.

In the event that Royal India Tours receives notification of an inaccurate name, there will be a $100.00 booking fee in addition to any additional fees levied by the airline, cruise line, lodging provider or other travel suppliers.
