Itinerary

After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, a calm riverside town known for yoga, meditation and its beautiful Himalayan foothill setting. Check in at your hotel and take some time to relax before exploring the town.

Visit Lakshman Jhula or Ram Jhula for panoramic river views and the sound of temple bells echoing across the water. Walk through ashram areas and riverfront paths, experiencing the gentle spiritual atmosphere that defines Rishikesh.

Start your day with visits to Haridwar’s prominent temples such as Daksh Temple, Mansa Devi Temple or Chandi Devi Temple, depending on your interests. Each shrine carries stories from ancient texts and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and river plains. Walking through narrow lanes filled with local shops and food stalls gives you a glimpse into the city’s vibrant culture.

Later, enjoy time exploring local markets known for spiritual items, brassware and sweets. If desired, take a peaceful walk near the riverbank to absorb Haridwar’s serene energy. The evening is free for contemplation or an optional return visit to Har Ki Pauri.

Arrive at Delhi Airport and meet your private driver who will accompany you throughout your spiritual journey. After checking in at your hotel, take time to relax and adjust to the new surroundings. If energy allows, enjoy a short evening walk near your hotel or explore a quiet neighbourhood market to familiarise yourself with the city.

Delhi’s blend of historic temples, vibrant streets and cultural diversity offers a warm beginning to your pilgrimage. The evening remains at leisure, giving you space to rest before you begin your journey toward the Ganges the next day.

Begin your day with quiet moments at the Ganges, where early morning light reflects beautifully off the river. Visit well-known ashrams such as Parmarth Niketan or Sivananda Ashram, where you may participate in meditation sessions or simply observe the peaceful environment.

Later, explore local cafés, bookshops and riverside markets that capture Rishikesh’s relaxed way of life. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, a graceful ceremony filled with devotional singing and spiritual warmth.

Begin your morning drive to Haridwar, one of India’s holiest cities where the Ganges first enters the plains. The journey introduces you to countryside landscapes, small towns and changing scenery that gradually prepares you for a spiritual environment. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and rest for a while.

In the evening, head to Har Ki Pauri to witness the famous Ganga Aarti. As priests perform rituals with lamps and chants echo through the air, the atmosphere becomes deeply moving. Watching hundreds of glowing diyas float on the river creates a powerful moment of devotion and peace.

After breakfast, drive back to Delhi Airport for your flight to Varanasi, the spiritual capital of India. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take time to unwind after the journey. The city’s ancient ambience immediately sets a different tone, with narrow lanes, busy ghats and chanting priests forming a unique cultural tapestry.

In the evening, visit the main ghats and slowly walk along the riverfront to absorb the city’s timeless rhythm. You may also witness the evening rituals at Dashashwamedh Ghat, where lamps, incense and hymns create an unforgettable spiritual moment.

Start your day before sunrise with a peaceful boat ride along the Ganges. As the sun rises, the ghats come to life with pilgrims bathing, priests performing rituals and locals beginning their day. The golden colours on the river create a magical atmosphere unique to Varanasi.

Later, explore Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple or walk through ancient alleys filled with silk shops, shrines and traditional homes. The afternoon offers time for rest or discovering local crafts. Evening remains free to revisit the riverbank or enjoy street delicacies.

Drive to Sarnath, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Explore the Dhamek Stupa, museum and quiet monastic ruins surrounded by gardens. The site’s peaceful setting creates a beautiful contrast to Varanasi’s busy streets.

Return to Varanasi for an evening at leisure. You may choose to attend another Ganga ceremony or spend time walking along smaller ghats where life unfolds at a slower pace. The city’s glow at dusk leaves a lasting impression of devotion and timeless culture.

After breakfast, transfer to Varanasi Airport for your flight to Delhi. Depending on your schedule, you may have some time for final shopping or sightseeing in Varanasi before departure.

Your 9-day North India Spiritual & Ganges Tour concludes with meaningful experiences, sacred rituals and peaceful memories from India’s most iconic spiritual destinations.
